In March 2026, Iskra Shipyard officially signed an agreement for the acquisition of 3. Maj Rijeka 1905 shipyard in Croatia. The agreement was formally signed at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Croatia, marking a significant strategic step in the further development of our industrial and shipbuilding capabilities.
This moment represents more than an acquisition.
It represents continuity.
A continuation of shipbuilding activity in Rijeka.
A continuation of industrial knowledge and craftsmanship.
And a continuation of a legacy that has shaped the region for decades.
As part of the transaction, shipbuilding activities will continue at the 3. Maj location, preserving an important industrial tradition while creating new opportunities for growth, modernization, and long-term development.
With the experience of Iskra Shipyard in complex refit, naval, and specialised vessel projects, we see strong potential in further developing large-scale programmes, strengthening competitiveness, and contributing to the future of the European maritime industry.
At the same time, this new chapter is also reflected through a renewed visual identity — one designed to honor the heritage of 3. Maj while looking confidently toward the future.

Iskra Shipyard has signed a €30+ million contract to build a 115-meter hybrid floating dock—the largest single investment in its history. With a 4,000-ton lifting capacity, the new dock will expand its ability to service everything from large ferries to superyachts.
